Alexandra (Lexi) Nicole Rolfe, aged 28, of Edgewood, New Mexico, died on May 14, 2022, in a tragic car accident.
Lexi was born on June 16, 1993, in Saratoga Springs, New York, where her father, Kevin, was stationed while in the U.S. Navy. Lexi had an older sister, Meagan, an older brother, Nick, and a stepbrother, Ted. She was also very close to her cousins, Chloe and Zach.
Lexi had a beautiful soul, full of love and kindness, and was always a joy to be around. She was one of those people who could light up any room just by walking in. She possessed a huge love for all animals and could even coax birds to land on her hand as she fed them. She had an unwavering love for the people in her life, and always believed in the absolute best in people. This world was never meant for one as beautiful as her.
Following in her father’s and brother’s footsteps, Lexi joined the U.S. military and became a fearless and honorable Marine, earning Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medals for Kuwait, WestPac, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and many other citations. She loved adventures, the outdoors, and was always willing to try new things. Her stepmom, Theresa, always proclaimed that if she were lost in the woods, she would choose Lexi to be with her because Lexi is a survivor.
Lexi loved going on family vacations in the Colorado Rockies, to go off-roading, and hiking, and just all-around having fun.
Lexi, a talented artist, loved her two nephews, Brayden and Asher, and enjoyed drawing pictures, putting puzzles together, carving pumpkins, and working on many projects with them. She would always make herself available to help others with whatever tasks or projects they were working on. She could do anything she put her mind to and was always willing to learn new things.
The world is a smaller place without Lexi in it. We could all learn from how Lexi lived her life unapologetically as herself, and we thank God for giving her to us, even for this short time.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor Lexi’s love of animals and her military service, please consider donating to Paws and Stripes at, https://www.pawsandstripes.org/individual-gifts.
