Alexander (Alex) Jude Sandoval age 36 passed away on April 10, 2026. He was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Sandia High School and attended CNM where he studied liberal arts and literature. His passions included drawing, music, designing logos and branding. He was deeply religious and attended Calvary Church. He loved sharing the word of Christ and went out of his way to minister and would help anyone in need. He volunteered at several shelters and Alex had a kind and genuine giving heart. He loved writing poetry and often expressed himself through lyrics and poems. Alex was an avid reader and read hundreds of books throughout his life. Alex was very intelligent and could speak about any topic with ease, proficiency and people enjoyed having in depth conversations with him.

Alex was the first grandchild and was deeply loved and spoiled by his Nana and Papo. The bond they shared throughout his life was filled with unconditional love. During Alex’s childhood he grew up alongside his sister, Nicole and his close cousins, Tasha and Alicia. They all shared a unique bond and loved each other immensely. Alex also had a close relationship with his auntie Victoria and his Uncle Lawrence, as well as his God Mother Cathy Jones. We will all miss Alex’s Rockstar personality and amazing smile. His loss leaves us with deep pain in our hearts and the only comfort we have is memories and the great times we were able to share with him during his life. Alex can rest now that he is free from this world and we look forward to rejoicing with him in heaven. 

Alex is survived by his mother Susan Sandoval-Gibson, his sister Nicole Rodriguez, his grand-parents, “Nana & Papo” a.k.a. Mary and Pete Sandoval, his aunt and her husband, Victoria and Lawrence Chavez, his uncle and his wife, Richard and Cori Sandoval, his God Mother Cathy Jones, and his loving cousins Alicia Chavez, Natasha Chavez, Mikayla Sandoval and Christiana Sandoval. Alex is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Luisa & Margarito Chacon, Great Uncle David Martinez and his beloved dog Lady.
