Alexander Martin
Morales
June 26, 1967 – March 26, 2026
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear friend, brother, and mentor, Alexander Martin Morales, 58 (“Burgers”). After a long illness, he was taken into the arms of our Lord on March 26, 2026. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Frances Davis; his grandmother, Lucy Gabaldon; his grandfather, Oscar Gabaldon; and his cousin, Felicia Muniz.
He is survived by his son, Alex Morales Jr.; his sister, Anna Payan and her partner, Lamont Harvey; his brother, Alfred Payan and wife, Latoya Torres. He also leaves behind his nephews Dominic Martinez, Daniel, Kayla, Richard, and Christopher Payan, and his niece Analicia Payan, his beloved “fur baby,” Lyla. In addition, he is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cherished family friends: Special Thank you to Maria Williams (Alex’s best friend), her children, Destiny, Linda, and Paula. Ticia and Mikey for always helping in every way possible. Angel Garcia, Felicia Garcia, Cory and Danene Reeves, for all the help you have given in this time of need.
Alex was an instrument of God. He devoted himself to service, especially in hospitals and institutions, and was a powerful inspiration within the recovery community. Special thanks to the Duke City Faithful 49ers Club for the love and support they shared with him. He had a rare ability to light up any room with his wit and warmth, making everyone feel like family, even when they felt they had none. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Arrangements are pending. Thank you for your condolences, and thank you, Alex, for giving us the chance, to know you.
